2026 United States House of Representatives elections in Ohio Last updated March 06, 2026 Background Redistricting Map of Ohio's congressional districts as passed by the Ohio Redistricting Commission on October 31, 2025 and will be used for the 2026 House elections Interactive map version As a part of ongoing redistricting efforts across the nation, the Ohio Republican Party held a special redistricting session and redrew the state's congressional map in order to benefit the Republican Party. Republicans initially planned for a map that would have resulted in a 13 Republican to 2 Democrat representation in the state, netting the party 3 seats. In October 2025, a bipartisan group reached a deal that resulted in a map that made Ohio's 1st and 9th congressional district more Republican friendly. Democrats protected the Akron-area 13th congressional district , which was redrawn to be slightly more friendly towards Democrats. The redrawn maps are expected to increase Republican chances to flip OH-1 and OH-9 which Republican nominee Donald Trump would have won in the 2024 presidential election by three and eleven points respectively.
