Wamena United Football Club (simply known as Wamena United) is an Indonesian football club based in Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Highland Papua. They currently compete in the Liga 4 Highland Papua zone.

History

Persiwa Wamena has been sold to Bina Putra Cirebon, also changed its name to Persiwa Bina Putra, and since December 2022 has been subject to a player registration ban sanction by FIFA. [1] They could not use his old name, therefore the management formed a new club called Wamena United in 2025. [2]
