Eni Fa'aua'a Hunkin Faleomavaega Jr. was an American Samoan politician and attorney who served as the territory's third lieutenant governor,from 1985 to 1989 and non-voting delegate to the United States House of Representatives,from 1989 to 2015. As a delegate,Faleomavaega served on committees and spoke on the House floor;however,he was not permitted to vote on the final passage of any legislation. He also was the father-in-law of former professional American football fullback Fui Vakapuna.

Thomas Stewart Udall is an American diplomat,attorney,and politician serving as the United States Ambassador to New Zealand and Samoa since 2021. A member of the Democratic Party,he served as a United States senator for New Mexico from 2009 to 2021. Udall also served as the U.S. representative for New Mexico's 3rd congressional district from 1999 to 2009 and New Mexico attorney general from 1991 to 1999. Asuemu Ulufale Fuimaono was an American Samoan politician and Paramount Chief who served as American Samoa's first Delegate-at-Large to the United States House of Representatives in a four-year term from 1971 until 1975. John Martin Poyer was the Naval Governor of American Samoa,from March 1,1915,to June 10,1919. He held the longest term of any American governor appointed over the territory by the United States Government. A Naval Academy graduate,Poyer served in numerous positions and retired in 1906 on account of failing health;however,the navy recalled him to service in 1915 to serve as governor. During the 1918 flu pandemic,Poyer quarantined the territory to stop the spread of the pandemic to American Samoa. Because of his actions,no deaths occurred in American Samoa,and he received the Navy Cross. Upon his final retirement,Poyer had reached the rank of commander.
Henry Francis Bryan was a United States Navy Rear Admiral and the governor of American Samoa. He served as governor from March 17,1925,to September 9,1927. Bryan was one of only three naval governors of the territory who had retired from naval service before serving as governor,the others being John Martin Poyer and his immediate predecessor,Edward Stanley Kellogg. In the Navy,he had numerous commands,and served in the Spanish–American War. His largest command was the Special Service Squadron.
Jordan Lynn-Baxter Poyer is an American professional football safety for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oregon State,where he was named a consensus All-American. Poyer was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2013 NFL draft,but was waived only a few months into his rookie season. After going on to become the primary backup safety for the Cleveland Browns,Poyer later became a starter for the Buffalo Bills,where he formed one of the league's top safety tandems alongside teammate Micah Hyde. Poyer earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl accolades during his time on the Bills.

Radewagen,a Republican,was elected on November 4,2014,after defeating Democratic incumbent Eni Faleomavaega;she was the first-ever Republican delegate since the office had been created in 1970 and began her tenure on January 3,2015. She also serves as the national committeewoman for the Republican Party of American Samoa. Amata is the first woman to represent American Samoa in the U.S. Congress.
