The Revolutionaries is an upcoming Indian period drama streaming television series directed by Nikkhil Advani and set to premiere in 2026 on Amazon Prime Video. The series is based on the non-fiction book Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom by Sanjeev Sanyal, [2] and explores the lives of young Indian freedom fighters who believed armed resistance was essential to ending British colonial rule.
Set during the Indian independence movement, the series follows a group of young revolutionaries who engage in armed resistance against British colonial rule. It explores their motivations, actions, and the historical context of their involvement, presenting a dramatized account of their role in the broader struggle for India's [3] [4]
The Revolutionaries is directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani. Casting for the series is overseen by Kavish Sinha. Filming is taking place across multiple locations in India, including Mumbai, Amritsar, Varanasi, and Dehradun. [11] [12] [13]

A 56-second teaser showcases the revolutionaries in disguises, engaging in underground resistance activities against British rule. Rohit Saraf is shown in a wrestling ground setting, while Bhuvan Bam sports a never-before-seen look. Pratibha Ranta, known for Laapataa Ladies , also appears as a fighter in the resistance.
