Spongiochrysis is a genus of green algae in the family Cladophorales. [1] It contains a single species, Spongiochrysis hawaiiensis.

Spongiochrysis hawaiiensis is a terrestrial alga that forms golden-yellow crusts on Casuarina bark. [2]
