Santiago Luna (born August 6, 2004) is a Mexican professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in bantamweight division of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). [2]
Luna was born on August 6, 2004, in Tijuana. Before embarking on MMA, he had a career in Greco-Roman wrestling, where he was a three-time national champion and qualified for the Pan American Games. [3] He began training at Entram Gym.
Luna made his professional debut for the Ultimate Warrior Challenge Mexico promotion on April 28, 2023, at UWC Mexico 43, where he secured a first-round victory over Einar González with a rear-naked choke. [4] He subsequently won his next three fights before the third round. [1]
After that, Luna had a couple of wins in the California regional scene, before being signed by the UFC. [5]
With a 6–0 record and a 100% finish rate, Luna made his UFC debut, replacing fellow countryman David Martínez as Quang Le's opponent at UFC Fight Night 259. [5] [6] He won the fight himself with a first-round TKO, [7] [8] and his performance in the octagon earned him a Performance of the Night award. [9]
Luna faced Angel Pacheco on February 28, 2026, at UFC Fight Night 268. [10] He won the fight by unanimous decision. [11]
