Richard Kahn is an American accountant known for his association with Jeffrey Epstein, and is one of the executors of his estate. [1] He was named by federate investigators as a possible co-conspirator to his crimes. [2]
Kahn received a bachelor's degree in 1994 and a master's in taxation in 1999 [3]
Kahn was listed as one of Epstein's co-conspirators by federal authorities in 2019, alongside Ghislaine Maxwell, Jean-Luc Brunel, Darren Indyke, and Lesley Groff. [2] Of the co-conspirators, only Maxwell was charged with crimes. They were described as "captains" of Epstein's organization in a 2021 lawsuit and were said to have "directed, approved, enabled, and justified millions of dollars in payments that fueled the Epstein Enterprise’s sex trafficking" [4] Victims claim that Kahn's office provided them payments and logged costs for rent, tuition, doctors' visits, lingerie, and haircuts. [3] Kahn was also alleged to have fabricated sham same-sex marriages between Epstein victims for immigration purposes. [3] [4]
Kahn and lawyer Darren Indyke currently control Epstein's estate. In the will that Epstein wrote shortly before his death in 2019, Kahn was to get 25 million dollars, the third largest beneficiary after Indyke and Epstein's former girlfriend Karyna Shuliak, who each got 50 million. [5] In 2026, the House Oversight Committee subpoenaed Kahn and Indyke, and Kahn is currently scheduled to testify on February 25, 2026. [1]
Kahn claims to have not known that Epstein was abusing women, and that none of Epstein's victims asked him for help. [6]
