Patriot is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language spy action thriller film written, co-edited, and directed by Mahesh Narayanan. It was produced by Anto Joseph and K. G. Anil Kumar. The film stars Mammootty and Mohanlal, alongside Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathy in important roles. Production

Patriot was written and directed by Mahesh Narayanan. [6] [7]

The project marks the collaboration between actors Mammootty and Mohanlal together after 13 years since Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty (2013). Reports earlier suggested that actor Asif Ali had been approached to play a pivotal role in the film after Fahadh Faasil temporarily exited the project due to scheduling conflicts. [8]

Filming

Principal photography began in November 2024 in Sri Lanka. The film was shot across several locations in India and abroad, including Hyderabad (at Ramoji Film City), the United Kingdom (including London), New Delhi, Kashmir, Coimbatore and Kochi. Following the initial schedule in Sri Lanka, the production moved to Hyderabad for studio sequences at Ramoji Film City before continuing filming in London and other locations in the United Kingdom. The final schedule of the film was completed in Kochi in early 2026.[ citation needed ]
