Olivia Garcia (born September 3, 2003) is an American professional [[association football|football] player who plays as a forward for Damallsvenskan club AIK, on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion. She played college soccer for the Florida State Seminoles, winning the 2023 national championship. After two years at Florida State, she began her professional career with HB Køge and was named the club's Player of the Year in 2024.

Early life

Garcia grew up in Las Vegas, the daughter of Juan Carlos and Lynne Garcia, and is of Cuban descent. [1] She played club soccer for Las Vegas Premier Sports Academy and Utah Royals FC Arizona, leading the former to the USYS under-14 national title in 2017. [2] [3] She attended Cimarron-Memorial High School where she ran cross country, winning the NIAA Class 4A individual state championship in her senior year in 2021 and being named the Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year. [4] She committed to play college soccer for the Florida State Seminoles in her junior year. [3] Before college, she spent the summer with the Kansas City Current II in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL). [5]

College career

Garcia played in 20 games, starting 4, and scored 3 goals for the Florida State Seminoles as a freshman in 2022. She helped the Seminoles win their fourth consecutive ACC tournament and reach the NCAA tournament semifinals, losing to North Carolina. [1] [6] In her sophomore year in 2023, she played in 18 games, starting 2, and scored 4 goals. She scored twice during the NCAA tournament as the Seminoles finished the season undefeated and won their fourth national title, defeating Stanford in the final. [1] [7] After two seasons in Tallahassee, she decided to turn professional and give up her remaining college eligibility. [8]

Club career

HB Køge

Danish Women's League club HB Køge announced on February 5, 2024, that they had signed Garcia to her first professional contract on a two-year deal. [8] She scored twice in her professional debut on March 17, winning 3–1 against AGF. [9] She ended the 2023–24 season with 5 goals in 10 games as HB Køge finished third in the league. [10]

On October 20, 2024, Garcia scored her first career hat trick in a 5–0 win against Kolding IF. [11] On November 23, she netted twice against B.93 to take her year-long tally to 13 goals in 25 games. [12] HB Køge announced a few days later that she had been named the club's Female Player of the Year. [13] She finished the 2024–25 season with 18 goals in 24 games, second in the league behind Fortuna Hjørring's Joy Omewa Ogochukwu. [14] She accounted for a majority of HB Køge's league goals (51%) as they again placed third. [14] She came third in the voting for the Danish Women's League Player of the Year behind AGF's Signe Baattrup and winner Ogochukwu. [15]

On September 10, 2025, Garcia made her European debut in a 3–2 win against Romanian club Farul Constanta in the qualification for the inaugural UEFA Women's Europa Cup. [16] On October 8, she scored her first European goal with a strike from outside the box to secure a 2–1 home win over Glasgow City in the second qualifying round, but HB Køge were eliminated after losing the away leg. [17] She departed from HB Køge at the end of the year, having scored 28 goals in 57 games for the club. [18]

Brighton & Hove Albion

On February 2, 2026, Garcia signed with Women's Super League club Brighton & Hove Albion. [19] She was immediately loaned to Damallsvenskan club AIK through June. [19]
