Mahura southgatei is a species of Agelenidae that is endemic to New Zealand. [1]
This species was described in 1973 by Ray Forster and Cecil Wilton from male and female specimens. The holotype is stored in Canterbury Museum. [1]
The male is recorded at 2.52mm in length whereas the female is 2.28mm. The carapace and legs are coloured pale yellow brown. The abdomen is creamy with dark brown shading. [1]
This species is only known from Westland and Nelson in New Zealand. [1]
