Srinivasaraghavan Venkataraghavan (, also known as Venkat, is an Indian former international cricketer and umpire. He was a right arm off break bowler and a lower order batter. He captained the Indian cricket team in test cricket and also at the first two ICC Cricket World Cups in 1975 and 1979. He represented Tamil Nadu and South zone in domestic cricket while also playing for Derbyshire in English county cricket from 1973 to 1975.
The Tamil Nadu cricket team is a domestic cricket team run by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association representing the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It has been one of the most dominant teams in white-ball domestic cricket in India. The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup was the tenth Cricket World Cup. It was played in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, while the latter hosted World Cup matches for the first time. India won the tournament, defeating Sri Lanka by six wickets in the final at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, thus becoming the first country to win the Cricket World Cup final on home soil. India's Yuvraj Singh was declared as the player of the tournament. This was the first time in World Cup history that two Asian teams had appeared in the final. It was also the first time since the 1992 World Cup that the final did not feature Australia.

Throwing, commonly referred to as chucking, is an illegal bowling action in the sport of cricket. This occurs when a bowler straightens the bowling arm when delivering the ball. Throws are not allowed when a bowler bowls to a batsman. If the umpire deems that the ball has been thrown, they will call a no-ball, which means the batsman cannot be given out from that delivery.

The 2011 Cricket World Cup Final was the final match of the 2011 Men's Cricket World Cup, the 10th edition of ICC's championship of One Day International (ODI) cricket. The match was played between India and Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday 2 April 2011. It was the first time that two Asian teams had faced each other in an ODI World Cup final. India won the match by six wickets—its second World Cup win after the 1983 tournament—and became the third team to have won the title more than once, after Australia and the West Indies. India became the first country to win the Cricket World Cup in their own country.
Raghuvir Singh Rathore is a former Indian cricket umpire and a former first-class cricketer. He stood in two Test matches between 1990 and 1993 and four ODI games between 1986 and 1991. Rathore played a first-class match for Rajasthan, in the semi-final of the 1962–63 Ranji Trophy, against Delhi.
Jasbir Singh is a former Indian cricketer and umpire. He stood in six ODI games from 1994 to 2000. He played 37 first-class matches for Northern Punjab and Punjab from 1964 to 1977 before making his umpiring debut in 1990.

The 2007 ICC World Twenty20 Final was a Twenty20 International cricket match played between India and Pakistan at the Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, South Africa. Administered by the International Cricket Council (ICC) it was the culmination of the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 which was the inaugural edition of the tournament. India won by defeating Pakistan by five runs. The teams had previously played each other in a Group-D match of the tournament, which was also won by India.
Bharati Vij is a former Indian first-class cricketer who played for Punjab. After retirement, he became an umpire and also started a cricket academy.
The 2012 Indian Premier League final was a day/night Twenty20 cricket match on 27 May 2012 at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, which was played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders to determine the winner of the 2012 season of the Indian Premier League, an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament in India.
