John C. Land III is an American politician who is a former Democratic member of the South Carolina Senate,representing the 36th District from 1976 until 2013. He served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1975 to 1976.
Land attended University of South Carolina,where he became a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity,graduating in 1966. Land received his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1968.
