The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are the central government-owned-public technical institutes under the ownership of Ministry of Education, Government of India. National Institute of Technology Calicut, formerly Regional Engineering College Calicut, is a public technical university and an institute of national importance governed by the NIT Act passed by the Parliament of India. The educational transformation of Kerala was triggered by efforts of the Church Mission Society missionaries, who were the pioneers that promoted mass education in Kerala, in the early decades of the 19th century. He was also an Advisor to the Government of Tamil Nadu on Information Technology and e-Governance. A winner of the National Order of Scientific Merit (Brazil), he was honored by the Government of India, in 2002, with Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.
GalgotiasCollege, also known as the Galgotias Campus 1 is the corporate headquarters of Galgotias Educational Institutions (GEI) in Knowledge Park II, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, comprising three private institutes. Established in 1999 as Galgotias Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT), it later included Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) and Galgotias College of Pharmacy (GCP).
