The Inkatha Freedom Party is a conservative political party in South Africa,which is a part of the current South African government of national unity together with the African National Congress (ANC). Although registered as a national party,it has had only minor electoral success outside its home province of KwaZulu-Natal. Mangosuthu Buthelezi,who served as chief minister of KwaZulu during the Apartheid period,founded the party in 1975 and led it until 2019. He was succeeded as party president in 2019 by Velenkosini Hlabisa.
Keith Muntuwenkosi "Musa" Zondi is a South African politician who has been KwaZulu-Natal's Member of the Executive Council for Economic Development,Tourism and Environmental Affairs since 2024. A member of the Inkatha Freedom Party,he was sworn in as a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature in October 2023. Previously,he served as Deputy Minister of Public Works from 2001 to 2004. Inkosi Mhlabunzima Wellington Hlengwa was a South African politician and Zulu traditional leader who served as Deputy Speaker of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature until his death in March 2005. Before assuming that office in 2004,Hlengwa represented his political party,the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP),in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2004. He was also the chief of KwaThoyana Tribal Authority near Umbumbulu in eThekwini,KwaZulu-Natal,a position to which he was appointed in 1988.
Faith Xolile Gasa is a South African politician who was KwaZulu-Natal's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education and Culture from August 2000 to June 2001. She represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly from 1994 to 1995 and in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 1995 until her death in 2005. A teacher by profession,she was also a former chairperson of the IFP Women's Brigade.
Sybil Anne Seaton is a retired South African politician who represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2009,serving the KwaZulu-Natal constituency.

Lindiwe Rosebud Mbuyazi is a South African politician who represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) coming from the education department as a school teacher,principal and National teachers Union Activist(NATU).She was also a party Whip in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2004,serving the KwaZulu-Natal constituency. After that,she was a member of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature 2004-2009.
Daniel Pieter Antonie "Danie" Schutte is a South African politician and lawyer who was the last Minister of Home Affairs of the apartheid era from 1993 to 1994. He represented the National Party (NP) both in the apartheid-era House of Assembly and in the post-apartheid National Assembly.
Madala Abram Mzizi,commonly spelled Abraham Mzizi,is a retired South African politician from Gauteng. He represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2003,in the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature from 2003 to 2004,and in the National Council of Provinces from 2004 to 2009. He rose to prominence during apartheid as an IFP activist on the East Rand.
Geoffrey Bongumusa Bhengu is a South African politician from KwaZulu-Natal. He represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the national Parliament from May 1994 until August 2002,when moved to the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature.
Teresa Millin is a retired South African politician who served in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 1999 to 2003 and in the National Assembly from 2003 to 2004. She represented the Inkatha Freedom Party until March 2003,when she established her own party,the Independent African Movement.
Eileen Eidana Nkosi-Shandu was a South African politician who served as Deputy Minister of Public Works in the South African Government of National Unity from 1996 to 1999. From 1999 to 2000,she was KwaZulu-Natal's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education,until she was sacked in a nepotism scandal.
Temba Ellis Vezi is a retired South African politician who represented the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in the National Assembly from 2002 to 2007. Before that,he served in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature from 1999 to 2002. During apartheid,he was a politician and legislator in the KwaZulu bantustan.
Bonginkosi Christopher Ngiba is a South African politician who represented the KwaZulu-Natal constituency in the National Assembly from 2003 to 2009. He was elected as a member of the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) but crossed the floor to the National Democratic Convention (Nadeco) in September 2005. Near the end of the legislative term,in January 2009,he resigned from his seat and defected to the Congress of the People.
