"Golden" is the first single released by American soul and R&B singer-songwriter Jill Scott, from her second album Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2 . The song peaked at 59 on the UK Singles Chart. It was also featured in the 2008 video game Grand Theft Auto IV on the in-game R&B radio station The Vibe 98.8, and also appears in the films Beauty Shop (2005), Obsessed (2009), and What Men Want (2019). Comedian Ellen DeGeneres chose the song to be used in the closing credits of her 2024 Netflix special Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval .
