Erythrolamprus mimus, the mimic false coral snake, is a species of snake in the family Colubridae. The species is found in Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia. [2]

Erythrolamprus mimus belongs to the genus Erythrolamprus , which contains over 50 species. The genus Erythrolamprus belongs to the subfamily Dipsadinae, which is sometimes referred to as the family Dipsadidae.
