Dhurandhar: The Revenge is the soundtrack album to the 2026 film of the same name written, directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Aditya Dhar, Lokesh Dhar and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios and B62 Studios. A direct sequel to Dhurandhar , the film stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan and Sara Arjun. [1] The soundtrack consists of five songs, one of them being previously released as single, composed by Shashwat Sachdev, with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil and Kumaar. The soundtrack was released through T-Series on 17 March 2026, coinciding with the film's audio launch event held in Mumbai. [2] The extended album with eleven additional songs was released on 24 March 2026.
Shashwat Sachdev composed the soundtrack and film score, marking his third collaboration with Aditya Dhar following Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) and Dhurandhar (2025). [3]
Just like the previous film, the soundtrack again featured several retro classic Hindi songs remixed and sampled with a modern touch along with incorporation of Punjabi songs. [4] [5]
The music rights were acquired by T-Series for ₹27 crore, thus replacing Saregama. [6] [7] Initially, reports claimed that music rights were acquired for price of ₹45–60 crore, however they were proved wrong. [8] [7]
The film's teaser featured the song "Aaahh Men!" sung by Doja Cat. The song also appears in the film. [9] [10] The first single titled "Aari Aari" was released on 12 March 2026, coinciding with Dhar's 43rd birthday. [11] This song also featured in the film's trailer and was the remix of the 2003 eponymous song by Bombay Rockers. [12] [13] The remix version also featured vocals by Bombay Rockers and this was also their comeback in the Bollywood industry after 6 years. [14] The second single titled "Main Aur Tu", was released on 17 March 2026. [15] The full album was released shortly after its launch, on the same day, at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. [16] [17] The extended album with eleven additional songs was released on 24 March 2026. [18]
The song "Jaan Se Guzarte Hain" was a remake of 1977 song titled "Dil Pe Zakham Khate Hain" by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The song "Destiny – Mann Atkeya" was also remix of the 1992 song "Man Atkeia Beparwah De Naal" by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. [5] The Punjabi song titled "Jaiye Sajana" was written and sung by Satinder Sartaaj alongside Jasmine Sandlas. [19]
The 1978 song titled "Rasputin" by Boney M. featured in the film. The song "Didi (Sher E Baloch)" is a remix of the 1991 Arabic song titled "Didi" by Khaled, and was featured in the film when Ranveer Singh's character visits Balochistan, Pakistan. [20] The song "Tamma Tamma" was remix of "Tamma Tamma Loge" from Thanedaar (1990) and was featured in the film during the assassination of Sanjay Dutt's character SP Chaudhary Aslam. [20] The song "Rang De Lal (Oye Oye)" was remix of "Tirchi Topiwale" from Tridev (1989), "Hum Pyaar Karne Wale" was remix of the song with the same name from Dil (1990) and the song "Bekasi" was remix of "Kabhi Bekasi Ne Maara" from Alag Alag (1985). Bollywood Hungama stated, "the film's music may not be as legendary as the first part, but it has it's own charm and is well incorporated and also praised songs like 'Aari Aari' and 'Jaan Se Guzarte Hain'". [25] News18 praised the film's soundtrack and its effective role in enhancing film's overall impact; they also praised the incorporation of old, familiar songs within the narrative. [26] The Week also praised Shashwat Sachdev's musical score and praised the inclusion of retro iconic tracks, but at the same time said that overall soundtrack is just a notch below the former one. [27] Hindustan Times viewed that the film's soundtrack may not be good as the first one, however the background score was praised especially in the climax. [28] The Hindu said that even though Shashwat's soundtrack does not match energy of first part, however repurposed old songs like Rasputin, Tamma Tamma and Tirchi Topiwala are fun in spots but felt more slapped than iconic.
