Botswana National Olympic Committee appointed Oreeditse Marakakgoro as the nation's chef de mission for Paris 2024. ^[1]

Letsile Tebogo won Botswana's first ever Olympic gold medal after winning the men's 200 metres, also becoming the first African to win the title. ^[2]
