Bill "Billy" Steele (13 November 1952 to 6 March 2026) was a Scottish-Canadian-American former professional ice hockey player. As a youth, he played in the 1965 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Toronto. [1] He was a member of the 1975 Michigan Tech NCAA National Championship team and elected to the MTU Athletics Hall of Fame on 12 October 2012. After graduation he played professionally for two seasons (1975-76 & 1976-77) with the Cincinnati Stingers of the World Hockey Association (WHA).
