All the Way Home is a 1963 drama film directed by Alex Segal and starring Jean Simmons, Robert Preston, Pat Hingle and Michael Kearney. The plot concerns a young boy and his mother who must deal with the sudden death of the family patriarch. It is based on the 1957 James Agee novel A Death in the Family [3] and the 1960 Tad Mosel play All the Way Home . [4]

The film was screened at the first New York Film Festival at Philharmonic Hall on September 14, 1963. Its official premiere was held at the Tennessee Theatre on October 17, 1963. [5] [6]
