Alex Hood (born July 11, 1989 [1] ) is a Canadian cartoonist, musician, podcaster and actress, best known for her works released under the collective name Haus of Decline.

Career

Hood started her media career as a child actor, doing both voice acting and live acting. [2]

She started publishing Haus of Decline podcast in 2020, [3] and comics under that name online in 2021. [2] Several of the comic strips gained viral popularity on Twitter, especially a memetic strip of Steven Universe confronting Adolf Hitler. [2]

Personal life

Previously identifying as a gay man, Hood came out as a trans woman in 2024. [2] She lives in Toronto. [2] [4] She is Jewish and anti-Zionist. [5]
