Background

Ken Sim defeated incumbent mayor Kennedy Stewart in the 2022 mayoral election. [2] Sim was elected mayor with 51% of votes cast [3] and was sworn in on November 7, 2022. [2] The city council, park board, and school board elections, held on the same day, had Sim's ABC Vancouver winning outright majorities on all three. [3]
