Khloé Kardashian Promises the Protein Trend Is Here to Stay

For Khloé Kardashian, protein isn't just a passing trend. Over the course of the last decade, she's dedicated herself to what she calls a total "lifestyle overhaul" which has touched on fitness, nutrition, and self-care. The first step was getting serious about her workout routine, which now includes cardio, resistance training, and high-intensity exercises. But looking back on her journey, getting active was actually the easy part.

For Kardashian, the hardest part of wellness has always been nutrition. At first, she was unsure of the kinds of foods that might best support her fitness goals. Then, she wanted options that actually tasted good. Although she's aware of the current protein boom, Kardashian's decision to launch Khloud protein snacks was more inspired by her personal wellness journey than the latest nutrition buzzword. Well . . . that, and her frustration with all the "bro-ey" products occupying the protein space.

In celebration of Khloud's new protein chip launch, we caught up with Kardashian about her current approach to health and fitness, and how she's keeping up in 2026. Read on to get her thoughts on everything from self-care to family-friendly wellness hacks.

Popsugar: Why was it important for you to make sure this snack had great macros?
Khloé Kardashian: I've been on a health journey - I would say a lifestyle overhaul. I started at least 10 years ago . . . and I've always had [more] battles in the kitchen. I built up the endurance and the self-motivation to get in the gym, and now I love it and I can't see my life without working out. It's not necessarily about a weight or a number I'm looking for on the scale. It's just about feeling good, and the release I get mentally. It's a form of therapy for me. The kitchen part of it - the dietary, nutritional part of it - my education on that came much later. And I realized you can work out for literally hours and hours and you won't gain muscle if you're not consuming the right amount of protein.

I started eating differently, but I don't eat a lot of meat or fish, so I needed other ways to get my protein, and I'm such a snacker by nature. I would eat other protein-based snack brands, but they were super bro-ey, more masculine. The taste was not for me. I'm always going to be that chubby girl at heart where I want taste to come before anything. And that's how Khloud was born.

PS: Protein is having a huge moment in the wellness space - how do you feel about that?
KK: I'm totally here for it, and I love that it's having its moment, but I just don't want it to be a trend.

I had so much to learn when doing Khloud. We just so happened to [align] with the protein buzzword at the moment, but I really believe in it so much. I think it's something that all real fitness people have been doing, but [when they do it] it's like eight eggs or meat, and that's not always realistic, at least for my lifestyle. I'm a grab-and-go type of girl. And I think a lot of people are - especially busy moms.

All of this stuff, yes, it's becoming popular right now, but I think we're just becoming more aware and educated on what these things do to the makeup of our body and how beneficial it is. I really think this is just the new norm, and that's a beautiful thing. Protein keeps you full, it supports your energy, it helps build your muscles. It does so many things, especially for our children and their growing brains. I just think it's all about balance and things that support your body.

PS: You mentioned being a busy mom. What keeps you balanced and grounded?
KK: I love a schedule, so that's number one. If I didn't have my whole day literally scheduled out, it would be hard for me to make it all work. But my family comes before anything, because that's what makes my heart happy. I have nonnegotiable hours, so like, doing carpool drop-off is 95 percent of the time a nonnegotiable. I want to have dinner with my kids every night or at least put them to bed every night.

I love working. It makes me feel accomplished and badass and strong, and I love that I get to show my kids everything I'm doing. But while they're at school, I can really do whatever. Right now we're on spring break, and I took them to Japan last week, making sure when they have their off-time, that I get more off-time, because that's what really matters in life - those family moments. I think that's what really keeps me grounded.

PS: What do you do to make wellness fun for the whole family?
KK: I have a gym in my house and my kids will come down and we jump rope or do fun workouts. It's not anything too crazy or serious, it could just be five or 10 minutes, but they'll get in on the action. I'll do stuff with balls or things that are fun for them. And I love that they see me being active. Also, I love cooking with my kids. It's just about living a healthy, happy life together.

Everything's about balance and having fun. We do live an active, happy, healthy lifestyle, but also lean into the ice cream. Let's have a pizza night. It's all about moderation. I just want my kids to see more of a happy lifestyle and then they can make those choices when they get older.

PS: What are you cooking together?
KK: My daughter loves to go on my phone and we'll Google recipes . . . I tell her the ingredients, and I think they love the concept of potions and mixing elixirs. We do Taco Tuesday every Tuesday and she loves to dice all the tomatoes and the lettuce. Like she loves the preparation work. And trust me, I don't really care about the prep work, so I'm like, 'Good, I have my little sous chef.' Tatum will be there with a whisk and we normally just let him have fun. But True is really into the whole execution of it from beginning to end.

When the cousins are over, they all love to get in [on the cooking action]. Every weekend we make pancakes and they love to put food coloring in and make it fun. You have to make those moments enjoyable. Those moments - we only get them for a few short years.

How We Test the Best Butt-Lifting Leggings

As fairly active people, us Popsugar editors have, without really meaning to, become accidental connoisseurs of butt-lifting leggings - and it shows. Whether that means ditching your bedtime every once in a while in favor of bingeing your favorite show, texting that person you like first rather than waiting on them, or throwing away the idea of an eight-step curl routine, it can feel really good to be a little "bad."

"Ginny & Georgia" star Antonia Gentry is learning how to do just that with a little help from Aussie. The drugstore brand just launched a new collection - Ultra Wonder, which has a Daily Mist ($10), a Leave-In Treatment ($10), and a Gel Créme ($10) - with the intention of smashing all the preconceived curl rules you might feel trapped by, in favor of simplicity and doing whatever works best for you.

Ahead, we sat down with Gentry to hear about the one habit she fell out of but is looking to bring back, the genius way she conquers her social anxiety for big events, and more.

Popsugar: Why are you excited to be partnering with Aussie?

Antonia Gentry: They're a brand that I've used for a very long time. Like, I discovered Aussie hair care when I was in middle school. And I have used them in my hair routine rotation for so many years. When they came to me with this opportunity, I was already excited.

For me, a huge thing that I'm passionate about is simplicity. So, I'm just so happy that we have a line that addresses all of our needs without breaking the bank, without being so overwhelming.

PS: Is there a beauty habit that you swear by that you have to do every day, even if you're short on time?

AG: Even if I'm traveling, I always travel with a satin pillowcase. If I can't have a bonnet or put my hair up, I will make sure I have a satin pillowcase. Before bed, I like to make sure I go in with a moisturizing spray or something, let that settle, and then go to bed.

PS: Is there a wellness non-negotiable that's in your routine?

AG: I used to stretch every single day. When I would get home from school or work or whatever, I'd make sure that I got like 10 minutes of stretching in, just to stay flexible, stay mobile. And I stopped for a few years, and I'm experiencing the consequence of that. So I think I'm gonna have to start that up again.

PS: What's a curl rule you're big on breaking?

AG: For me, having a million products in my bathroom. Like, we don't need all that. Let's simplify it. And I think that's something I'm really excited about with Aussie because that's the whole direction - having products that adapt with my routine as I go about my life. It has cleared out more space in my bathroom, for sure.

PS: How would you describe your makeup routine when you're not working?

AG: Because I wear so much makeup for work, when I'm not working, I keep it very, very simple. A light foundation if necessary, definitely SPF every single day. And I'll do a light concealer where I need it, but I keep it really, really natural. I'm very lazy, so you won't catch me doing anything insane on my own. Also, I just don't have the skillset.

PS: Walk me through how you prep for a big event, like a shoot or premiere.

AG: I'm still figuring that one out. I feel like I have a great team, so I'm very comfortable with the people that I work with, especially for events like that. I'm a huge introvert, so it can be very, very overwhelming. When it's time to get ready and get the hair, makeup, and clothes done, I always try to treat it like a character for the day. Not too far from who I actually am, but it helps me get into the right mindset. And it helps make everything a little less scary for sure.

How to Submit Products For Consideration

Brands can fill out an entry form to submit their products for consideration by the panel of judges (members of the PS team). For PS's 2026 Skin-Care Awards, we will be accepting submissions from Monday, March 30, at 9 a.m. EST, until Monday, April 13, at 5 p.m. EST.

A few things to remember before entering a submission:

Please fill out one entry form per product. For multiple submissions, fill out one form per entry and submit a separate fee for each product. There is no need to submit separate forms for multiple shades of the same product.
We require an entry fee of $150 for each product submission, which can be paid via Stripe. You'll need to include your Stripe payment confirmation ID in the submission form. The fee is nonrefundable.
Both the payment and entry form must be submitted by the deadline; Popsugar is not responsible for payments absent an accompanying entry.
You can submit any new product launched between January 1, 2024, and April 30, 2026. There are no exceptions.
Limited-edition products will not be considered.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
After we review all submissions, we will be in touch about samples for any products that our judges are considering but have not previously had the chance to test.

MC: Carolyn's red lip was very classic – elegant but never overly dramatic. Two lipsticks she was known to wear were Face Stockholm Cranberry Veil Lipstick ($30), which is still available today, and the original Bobbi Brown Ruby Lipstick ($35). For the show, I used Cranberry Veil and adjusted the tone with different lip pencils so the color complemented Sarah's complexion while still staying true to Carolyn's signature shade.

Popsugar: What were your biggest sources of inspiration when building Carolyn's beauty look and transforming Sarah?

Barry Lee Moe: There are two photos that gave me a lot of inspiration when I started to create the look. One, a shot of Carolyn at Indochine, and the second, a Polaroid from the Calvin Klein office. In both photos, her eyes pull you in immediately; there's so much energy there. Sarah has a similar quality in her eyes, and I saw that as a big connector. I wanted her color and styling to enhance and showcase her eyes as much as possible.

PS: What would you say are the hallmarks of CBK's look that you felt were important to nail?

BLM: The eﬀortless, lived-in nature of her hair. I think it was crucial to the success of this entire look. I primarily used Unite Products to create and maintain these looks. It's such a well-rounded product line, with something for everyone. The 7 Second Leave-In Detangler ($40), the Texturiza Spray ($45), and the Blonda Hair Oil ($55) are my favorites.

PS: Her hair always looked polished but never over-styled. What techniques helped you achieve that effortless finish on Sarah?

BLM: Carolyn's hair always looked so beautifully lived in, and I really wanted to recreate that energy with Sarah. I made sure Sarah was part of every look, that she really got her hands in her hair for a while before she went on camera. When you have a good foundational set and a lot of texturizing spray, the hair continues to build into something more beautiful as the day goes on. Sarah is a dream actress to work with and really understands how to make an impact with her hair on camera.

PS: Any fun facts or hidden details you think we should know?

BLM: Over the course of two days, it took approximately 24 Hours (20 for color and four for extensions) and 400 Individual extensions to achieve this look.

Popsugar: How did you research and approach recreating Carolyn's specific shade and tone of blond?

Kari Hill: I approached Sarah Pidgeon's color as a timeline, not a single moment. Carolyn's blond wasn't static - it evolved with her, and that evolution was incredibly intentional. I studied imagery across multiple years, paying close attention to how her color shifted depending on her lifestyle, lighting, and overall aesthetic. Early on, her hair had more depth and felt understated, almost like a natural dark blond. As time progressed, it became brighter and more refined, but never overworked.

What I created on Sarah was a very real, warm, high-contrast blond shade that Carolyn was known for. It wasn't icy, and it wasn't overly golden. It sat right in the middle, with softness and depth. That balance is what makes the color feel authentic. The hair was also highlighted meticulously so that it could be easily tossed and moved by Sarah on camera. The dimension was crucial to ensure that from any angle, the color reflected her authentic shade of blond.

To lift her color, I used Schwarzkopf Professional BlondMe Premium Lightener 9+.

PS: For someone who doesn't know, how would you describe "Bessette Blond?"

KH: "Bessette Blond" is a warm, dimensional blond that feels polished but never overdone. The shade is very buttery, golden, and glossy, with visible highlights rather than a flat, single-process blond. What makes it special is the balance: you still see depth at the base of the head with stronger, deliberate pieces of blond running through it, often lifted right up to the root. The highlights are noticeable and strategically placed, giving it a bold yet effortless feel. It's the kind of blond that looks expensive and intentional, but still natural.

PS: Any fun facts or hidden details you think we should know about the color?

KH: Hair color in the '90s typically leaned more buttery or golden vs. the platinum or ash shades we see today, largely because the technology simply wasn't there to safely lift hair to the ultra-light shades we see today.

'90s bleaches did not include bonding ingredients, which lifted hair inconsistently, and hair was often too compromised to hold hair color tone. Lightening hair with bleach is one of the most aggressive chemical services we can put our hair through and it's important for consumers to know what they are putting on their hair. These 90s looks are far more achievable now. What I love is that this color is a return to that highly intentional color that foils made popular and a departure from the "lived in" color & techniques like balayage or hair painting that have dominated our culture today.

Club Pilates Doesn't Post Pricing - Here's What It Really Costs

It's never too late to hop on the Pilates train. There's a reason why everyone is obsessed with the fitness modality. Pilates is a low-impact (but powerful) workout that builds strength and improves mobility without putting too much additional stress on your joints. While it's definitely possible to get a solid Pilates workout at home, professional instruction can offer you additional guidance, correction, and motivation. If you're looking for a place to learn the ropes, Club Pilates is a great place to start. But how much does it cost?

Pilates has a reputation for being on the pricier side. So while dedicated students rave about the benefits, there are a few things you should know before committing to a membership. For starters, Club Pilates is one of the largest Pilates franchises in the country with 1,200 locations and more beginner-friendly programming than some of the other reformer studios out there. (Check out our Club Pilates review for more information on what the classes are really like.) Moreover, Club Pilates costs are dependent on location, which is one reason why their pricing is so ambiguous.

To get a better sense of what you can expect, we asked a Club Pilates rep to share a general break down of the membership pricing. Although the exact numbers may vary depending on your location, this will give you an overview of Club Pilates costs, including the price of a Club Pilates four-pack, and Club Pilates Unlimited.

How Much Does Club Pilates Cost?

Club Pilates is a franchise (meaning each location is individually owned), so prices vary based on location. To get the most accurate estimate of Club Pilates prices, your best bet is to head to the Find a Studio Near You page on the brand's website. From there, you can search for the closest location and find its contact info. Since most locations don't list Club Pilates prices directly on the website, you'll need to call or email the studio to find out.

That said, a Club Pilates brand representative gave PS a general idea of how much Club Pilates costs, including the Unlimited membership and class packs. Here's what we found, with additional insight from real members on Reddit:

Club Pilates Single Classes ($25-$49). The exact cost will depend on where you live, according to the brand rep.
Four classes a month ($89-$129, depending on location): This is a great membership option for anyone looking to add Pilates to their schedule once a week.
Eight classes a month ($169-$229, depending on location): If you're ready to build your Pilates knowledge, eight classes a month is a great way to learn more and see some serious progress.
Unlimited membership ($199-$359, depending on location): Once you fall in love with Pilates, the unlimited plan is the best way to make it a part of your everyday fitness routine. This lets you take an unlimited number of Pilates classes at your local studio every month.
Passport membership ($279-$379, depending on location): For people who intend to work out across different locations, the passport membership gives you access to more Club Pilates locations all across the country.

Memberships will give you the lowest per-class price, but there's usually a three-month minimum commitment (and a fee of about $100 if you cancel early). Members should also note the cancellation policy, which charges unlimited members a $10 fee for canceling less than 12 hours before class, and $15 for a no-show (according to Reddit).

Additional Pricing Details

If you're loving your Club Pilates practice, you can also commit to an annual membership, which allows you to pay once and skip the monthly payments (although it does require a year-long commitment). Some Club Pilates locations also offer private training sessions, which is a great idea if you're looking for modifications relating to a previous injury or want to learn how to use the reformer with more individualized support.

If you're wondering how much Club Pilates membership prices vary, one Redditor (who claimed to manage a Club Pilates) told the r/Pilates subreddit that their local studio charges $109 for four classes per month, $199 for eight classes per month, $229 for unlimited, and $279 for the Passport membership. Meanwhile, another Redditor shared that their Los Angeles studio charges $120 for four classes per month, $230 for eight classes per month, and $270 for unlimited.

Can You Try a Club Pilates Class For Free?

Yes - no matter which location you visit, you can get a 30-minute introductory class for free. That said, introduction classes can be quite popular, and spots may fill up quickly. Be sure to contact your local Club Pilates studio to schedule in advance.

Can You Take Club Pilates Classes Online?

Club Pilates is part of Xponential Fitness, a global franchise group of boutique fitness brands including Rumble Boxing, CycleBar, Pure Barre, StretchLab, YogaSix, and Body Fit Training. You can stream classes from Club Pilates (and all the other Xponential brands) online through the Xponential+ App ($30 per month or $120 per year, after a seven-day free trial). The annual membership comes out to $10 per month. You can sign up online or talk to your local studio to get set up.

Any Other Club Pilates Costs?

You'll need to wear a pair of sticky or grippy socks like the High Heel Jungle Scrunch Premium Grip Socks ($32) for class, as they help you maintain a good grip on the reformer. If you don't have grippy socks, you can buy some from your Club Pilates studio. A pair will typically cost $15-$20, but you can also find cheaper multipacks on Amazon like the Coolmate Pilates Socks ($8, originally $10). For Many Brides, Wedding Prep Now Comes With Weight-Loss Drugs

When Alyssa Cantrell began planning her wedding last year, she wanted two things: a sharp jawline and a tiny waist. "Saying it out loud makes me sound vain and vapid," she tells Popsugar, "but that was genuinely what I thought to myself."

After feeling dissatisfied with her weight and body image for years, she decided to officially pursue a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) prescription shortly after getting engaged. "I was planning out outfits for our engagement photos, and the pants that I had envisioned for the photos could not button up and were not going to work at all," she says. After experiencing an "extra hard crash out" that night, she emailed her medical provider about GLP-1s. Three days later, a full dose of tirzepatide was delivered to her door. "I was both amazed and annoyed at how easy it was."

For as long as weddings have been an elaborate event with a growing guest list, there's been pressure for brides to look and feel a certain way. But what the industry doesn't tell you is that "looking and feeling your best" can sometimes be a boon to toxic diet culture: calorie-counting tips, CoolSculpting ads, cellulite-removal promotions, bridal arm workouts, fad diets, and more.

"I have never gotten so much messaging that I'm not good enough or pretty enough or thin enough as I have since getting engaged," bride-to-be Kelly Dyal says. "At a bridal expo I attended, every other booth was for a gym or a weight loss and aesthetics business - and not in a 'treat yourself' way, but in a 'laser off all your dull disgusting skin so you can finally be radiant' way."

Unfortunately, the wedding industry has always had a reputation for perpetuating this harmful messaging. But according to Zola and its 2026 trend report, the need to lose weight for one's wedding day may be even more prevalent today with the abundance and increased accessibility of GLP-1s.

Per the trend report, the wedding planning platform found that couples spend over $1,100 to "look and feel 'wedding ready'" by updating their exercise habits, changing their diets, refreshing their skincare routines, and updating their beauty routines. But now, GLP-1s are putting on even more pressure: 42 percent of all couples say "easier access to weight-loss medications has increased the pressure they feel to look a certain way." According to the survey respondents who are on a GLP-1, 21 percent of them said they're "taking the medication entirely to lose weight for their wedding," and 33 percent said "their wedding is one of multiple motivating factors."

Like Cantrell, Dr. Lindsey Upton is another bride-to-be who sought out a GLP-1. Though she was initially prescribed Zepbound by her doctor after a bloodwork test, she says the effects of being on a GLP-1 has helped her feel more confident. "More than anything, I want to feel good in my own skin walking into [my wedding], and [a GLP-1] is definitely part of my pre-wedding health regimen and changes," she says.

Though she still has a couple of months before her nuptials, Dr. Upton is happy with the results. "I'd consider it successful not just because of weight changes, but because of how it helped regulate my metabolism and the way my body processes food for nutritional and metabolic purposes." She adds, "The biggest shift wasn't just the number on the scale - it was how my body processes water and food in general."

Cantrell is equally satisfied with her results. When she got married in January, she says she was extremely happy with how she looked - even after the monthly $150 cost of her GLP-1, which sometimes rose to $300 a month for a higher dosage. "It gave me the extra oomph to drop the last few pounds and help me feel the best I possibly could," she says.

Despite the pressure to lose weight for the big day, though, there are still some brides actively working against it. Ahead of her wedding in August, Dyal is choosing not to focus on weight loss, despite an expressed desire to lose weight. "The size of my body has just stayed so low on the priority list of things to work on or think about related to the wedding," Dyal says. "I want to be comfortable - both day of and in the lead up - and that means not putting more effort into calorie counting than centerpiece building."

Though she says weight loss may be something she works toward in the future, it's not what she's focusing on now. "Instead of counting calories or spending hours at the gym, I've been prioritizing time with family and friends, and have enjoyed lots of wedding-related crafts," she says. "Instead of thinking about my waistline, I've been thinking of our guests - and though that doesn't mean I'm thrilled with my waistline, I can honestly say I'm pleased with how I've used our most valuable resource of time."

Ultimately, there's no clear right or wrong way to think about weight loss or your "wedding body," because every person has different goals and visions for how they want their special day to look. But as weight-loss drugs become more widespread, the choice between a snatched waist or an elaborate centerpiece might, for some, become even murkier - or, at the least, more costly.
