Smokestack Lightnin' was an American rock band of the late 1960s. (As of 2024, a German band uses the same name.)

Contents

The band frequently played at the famed Sunset Strip club Whisky a Go Go. [1] They appeared on The Groovy Show and in the 1968 film Dreams of Glass .

Their only album, 1969's Off the Wall, has gained some respect over the years; Bones Howe produced all of their music and the album's production was staffed by members of The Wrecking Crew. The group disbanded in 1970. [2]
