Mbuyazwe kaMpande[from Zulu: the return of the country] was the son of the Zulu king Mpande and Monase from the Nxumalo clan. He was born around the late 1820s along with his half brother Cetshwayo. He died at the major battle that was between him and Cetshwayo, known as Impi yaseNdondakusuka (Ndomdakusuka battle) in 1856, where they we fighting over whom was the rightful heir to take the throne after Mpande.
